The Alexia Experience

Alexia isn’t your usual winery and vineyard experience…in fact we operate in a town with no grapes! But those curious enough explore beyond the wineries of Martinborough and Greytown’s Main Street will be rewarded with the discovery of our little winery and wine bar on Greytown’s West Street.

Want to do a tasting? We offer the the ‘Alexia Experiment’ - a tasting paddle of 4 of our still wines for a self-guided tasting experience. Visitors have described the ‘Alexia Experiment’ as one of the best things to do in Wairarapa

We also offer a delicious lunch and snack menu and all our wines can be enjoyed inside the winery amongst the barrels, on our terrace, or purchased to take home.

Enjoy our mural ‘Goodly Creatures’ painted by Cromwell based contemporary figurative artist Jen Olson. It really is something.

Our winery building is a transformer: from March - October we use every inch of our space to make our wines - the place is full of tanks, fermenters, pumps and hoses and grapes. From October - early March the tanks move out, we put out the tables and chairs and become a seasonal wine bar and cellar door.

Interested in holding your event at Alexia? Get in touch, we’d love to chat! Please make sure to give us at least six weeks notice so if we need to arrange a special alcohol license we have time to do it.

Bookings & Payment

During our regular season lunch bookings and bookings for larger groups are appreciated. If you are just popping in for a glass and a snack, you don’t need to book - just turn up and we’ll find you a spot.

Payment: For groups who wish to pay separately, we are happy to split a tables total bill evenly by the number of people on the table. For example - a bill for a table of 10 would be divided evenly by 10. We are unable to accomodate any other kind of bill-splitting requests.
