Tangent by Alexia 2024 Wairarapa Lagrein

NZ$38.00

Tangent is about small parcels, emerging varieties and one-offs, made when the seasons allow.

Our first release of this Italian native from the Trentino region of Italy.

Jane made Lagrein during her Italian winemaking days, and of all the wines she made there was the Lagrein that stuck in her memory.

We had the opportunity with our growers to plant some vines here in the Wairarapa a few years and now we are one of the few New Zealand producers of this wine.

So deeply coloured it's almost inky... with aromas and flavours of blackberry and savoury woodsmoke with an underlying mineral seam with robust tannins.

Taste: Blackberry, woodsmoke, stoney, spirited.
