Alexia x Mesita: Taco Taqueria

Hola! Alexia is bringing a little bit of Mexican fire to the Greytown Festival of Christmas!

For one day only our little urban winery is transforming into a cheery Mexican inspired taqueria! Our friends from Mesita will be keeping things HOT in the kitchen, turning out their famous tacos, salsas and sauces - all matched to the Alexia wine list of course!

Need a little bit of heat? Order that salsa! Missing summer sun burn? Pile on that hot sauce! Craving a beach cabana? Check out our chilled red!

It's a little bit of sunshine all wrapped up in a taco and it's going to be a lot of fun - so lock in the date and see you at Alexia!

Alexia Presents: Fondue Chalet

(A Greytown Festival of Christmas event)

Yodelayheehoo! We're bringing the alps to Alexia for the Greytown Festival of Christmas, transforming our little urban winery into a cosy alpine chalet celebrating all things hot cheese!

It's like après-ski… without the skiing… or the snow. It's guaranteed to be fun though!

Our cheese fondue is the star of the show - with plenty of bread to dip of course! We'll be serving up these little hot pots of melted happiness alongside some other hot cheese delicacies all matched to the Alexia wine list.We'll even have our own special alpine themed doughnut for a sweet finish!

We may not have the Matterhorn or Mont Blanc but we do have mountains of cheese and wine, a covered terrace, blankets and plenty winter spirit to share!

It's going to be a lot of fun so lock in the date, wrap on those ski goggles and colourful jumpers and see you at Alexia!

French 75 In Pink: Where Wine Meets Gin

(a rather curious Hendrick’s Hootenanny event)

The Hendrick's Hootenanny - A Refreshingly Curious Gin Fiesta is coming to Greytown for the month of March...Hooray!

But, what place does gin have in a winery you ask..?!? When you can make a wine cocktail of course!

New Zealand only has a tiny handful of in-house Méthode Traditionnelle (fizz) producers, and Alexia is one of them - so there’s only one cocktail for this little urban winery - the French 75!

Invented in the bars of Paris during WW1, this Champagne cocktail was named after the French 75mm artillery field gun - because both gun and cocktail were known to knock you flat!

Join us for a special afternoon of French ‘joie de vivre’ celebrating this classic gin and champagne cocktail with an Alexia twist.

Alexia will be disgorging an advance batch of our yet to be released Rosé Méthode Traditionnelle bubbly and combining it with Hendrick's Gin to create something truly unique and delicious - the French 75 In Pink!

It’s the ultimate meeting of wine and gin, French flair, Scottish wit and just a touch of Greytown alchemy!

We’re going all out on the French theme too - French attire, French picnic menu, and spot prizes for best French themed outfits!

The French flags will be flying and the berets positioned at the jauntiest angle possible, so dust off those blues, whites and reds and get ready for a ‘magnifique’ afternoon. Are we excited? Oui!

Pies & Pinot 2024

1pm - 6pm, Saturday 27 February

Pies and Pinot are back for 2024!

We’re turning on the ovens and firing up the pie warmer for the perennial Alexia favourite!That’s right, the world-famous (in Greytown) Alexia Pies and Pinot event is back for summer.

The ‘Pie Bar’ will be fully stocked with the iconic Clareville Bakery pies, with plenty of doughnuts and cronuts for a sweet finish and the wine bar will be pouring all the Alexia wines.

We’re also delighted to have live music back with special guest Eilish Carmichael-Benham bringing her mix of soulful pop to Alexia - live on the lawn from mid-afternoon!

It’s going to be great! So save the date and get yourselves to Alexia to wrap your pie-holes around some of the tastiest treats in town!
